The Student Inclusion Office, under the direction of Roger Briscoe II, serves as a central hub for fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment. Our office oversees a variety of programs and services designed to build community and ensure that all students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
Key Services and Initiatives
- Nonresidential Affinity Groups: Supporting the unique needs of graduate, commuter, nontraditional, and transfer students through specialized groups designed to foster a sense of belonging and community. Click to sign up!
- Peer Education and Engagement Coordinators (PEEC): Student-led initiatives focused on educating the campus community, fostering diversity and inclusion, and organizing events that promote engagement and connection.
- Overseeing Multicultural and LGBTQIA+ Support Offices: Offering resources and advocacy for underrepresented groups, providing safe spaces, and programming to support students’ identities and experiences.
- Co-advisor for UBORA Men of ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ: An organization within the Division of Student Affairs dedicated to empowering Black and Brown male students by helping them recognize their inherent worth and achieve their full potential.
- Food Pantry and Help Center: Addressing food insecurity on campus, providing essential resources for students in need.
- Folger Student Center: A vibrant space for student engagement and activities, supporting social interaction and community building.
- Crimson Scholars Circle: A support program aimed at empowering students from underrepresented backgrounds to achieve academic success.
- Promising Scholars Program: A program created to empower high-achieving minority and first-generation college students in Pennsylvania.
- Podcasting and Content: We engage the ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ community through innovative platforms, including podcasts and social media, highlighting student voices and inclusive initiatives.
- Dr. Briscoe’s Trivia: A fun, interactive way to engage students while promoting learning and diversity awareness.
- Data Collection: We collect and analyze descriptive data to gain a deeper understanding of students’ experiences, expectations, and participation on campus.
