Please mark your calendars for the third annual AI Summit taking place Tuesday, April 7, 2026, during Research Week. This full-day event will be offered in a hybrid format, welcoming all ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ students, faculty, and staff to explore artificial intelligence practices, pedagogies, ethics, and literacy through interactive workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on sessions.

Call for Proposals – AI Summit

We invite proposals for 50-minute workshops, presentations, panels, or interactive sessions. Proposals may address any aspect of AI relevant to our work at ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ, including but not limited to: AI tools and applications, pedagogical strategies, research methodologies, ethical considerations, academic integrity, creative production, professional practices, technology, or disciplinary applications. Faculty-student collaborative proposals are also welcome.

Proposals should be received by January 31 and submitted on .

Submission Information 

Please submit your proposal, including:

  • Presenter name(s), department, and role at ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ
  • Session title
  • Preferred track (Exploration, Pedagogy, or Research and Scholarship)
  • Brief description (150–250 words)
  • Learning objectives, session outcomes, and interactive elements
  • In-person or online presentation

Deadline: January 31, 2026

The Summit features three specialized tracks:

  • AI Exploration Track – Hands-on sessions for understanding and engaging with AI technologies. This track is specifically geared toward all students, faculty, and staff who want to learn and grow their AI skills. This track was developed in response to ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ’s Visioning Day. 
  • AI Teaching Track – Discussions on integrating AI into pedagogy, student perceptions of AI, and ethical considerations. This track is geared towards current faculty, pre-service teachers, and graduate students.
  • AI Research and Scholarship Track – Sessions on AI-driven research tools, methodologies, and scholarly publishing. Geared towards faculty and students with an interest in researching AI and leveraging AI tools in their research, scholarship, and creative activity.
