ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ Department of Music faculty member Zach Collins and sophomore music education and music performance major Kayla Holsopple presented a clinic via Google Classroom for members of the Gateway High School Wind Ensemble on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Gateway's band director, James Hoeltje (BSEd'07), asked Collins and Holsopple to share strategies on how to stay creative while completing school in a virtual setting.

In addition to performing a duet live for the students, Collins and Holsopple shared how to create virtual ensembles similar to the ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ Tubaphonium Ensemble's video that members of the ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ Tuba and Euphonium Studio produced in April 2020.

The clinic also highlighted the work that ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ alumniGeorge Alberti (BFA'11), Mike Waddell (BSEd'12), Zack Grass (BFA'14), and Logan Carnes (BSEd/BFA'19) have done in forming the Keystone Quartet and since the pandemic began.

Holsopple shared her experiences in participating beyond the classroom in organizations including the ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ Student Government Association and ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ's chapter of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association.
